Black Business Matters directory, is a division of Voice Of Africa Radio Inc. The directory was created to showcase, support and protect Black Businesses and professionals in Canada. The facts are unambiguous that the Black community is at the wrung of the society’s economic ladder. Our money is
on a one way traffic which is going out of the community. This is unacceptable and we must do something about it. This is the reason we created this platform blackbusinessmatters.ca to help circulate money in the Black community.
Our hope for this platform is to help amplify awareness of Black businesses and professionals to mitigate
marginalization we have had to endure for generations. It is imperative we start spending majority of our money with our businesses and professionals in order regenerate our community financially.
Our Directory’s ultimate goals are to educate Black Canadians on the importance of investing into their communities and be part of the movement to support and protect Black Businesses. Black Business Matters directory will help to empower Black businesses invariably helping the circulation of the dollar in our community.

Are all businesses in this directory Black owned?
Yes. If you find a listed business which is not Black owned, please report it so that we can remove it or deactivate it until we resolve the ownership doubts.
Can you list your business if you are not Black or of African decent?
No. But if one of the business partner is Black or African descent then the business will be listed.
How is a person determined to be black?
A business owner or professional must have the visual characteristics of a person of a Black person or identifiable as a person of Africa descent.
Does a company that wants to advertise on your site need to Black Owned?
No. Anyone can purchase banners or ad space, but only Black owned businesses may be listed in the directory.
Is it free to list your business on the Black Business Matters Directory?

Would Black Business Matters directory be considered a racist website?
No. We are only providing services to consumers looking to patronize businesses which are owned by blacks or persons of African descent.
Do I have to add my Logo and pictures?
No, but it is best if you do add pictures. Adding pictures will help with branding your business as it allow people to see your products or the end result of your services.
